The Open String

For 25 years Robert has been working with children in underserved communities from Harlem to Calcutta to provide them with violins, violas and cellos to support their musical lives. These instruments have played a part in violence diminishing, communication improving, high school being completed, often with honours, and joy being spread through music.  Robert has seen children who were given a half size violin when they were eight years old, go on to graduate from Juilliard.
